Day 9 - Salt Lake City

An interesting place!  But not one I'd want to hurry back to.  We sheltered from the rain in the morning, caught up with family via FaceTime, though Ettie is more interested in turning the light on and off and Charlie more interested in pulling faces!

In the afternoon we visit Temple Square and are accosted by lots of young ladies in pairs working the area as missionaries.  We visited the main sights, but I just don't get it!  The centre of SLC is immaculate, modern and affluent; however you don't have to wander far to find begging and very run down areas.

We did enjoy a great meal at an Italian restaurant to compensate.  Happy to be on the move again tomorrow!  The mormon temple is an interesting piece of architecture but non members can't go inside.  The whole complex has a high wall around it and you get the feeling that they'd love to just close all the gates to the rest of us!

The Trax tramway system is excellent!
